Dobby is a personal assistant used by one person, Alireza Jalili, with his own Google account. This page explains what Google data the app touches and what happens to it.
Data the app accesses
With the owner's consent, the app can access these Google services:
- Gmail: read, send, label, move to trash and delete messages
- Google Calendar: read, create, change and delete events and calendars
- Google Drive, Docs and Sheets: read, create, edit, share and delete files
- Google Contacts: read and manage contacts
How the data is used
The app uses this data only to carry out tasks the owner asks for, such as summarizing his inbox, replying to a message or adding a calendar event. It does not use Google data for advertising, does not sell it, and does not use it to train general AI or machine learning models.
Where data is stored
OAuth tokens are stored on the owner's computer and are readable only by his user account. Content fetched from Google is processed on that computer. When a task needs a language model, the relevant text is sent to the model provider the owner has chosen, only for that request.
Sharing
Google user data is not shared with or transferred to anyone else, except where the owner tells the app to (for example, sending an email or sharing a file) or where the law requires it.
Limited Use
Dobby's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
The owner can disconnect the app at any time from Google Account permissions. Disconnecting revokes access, and the local token file is then deleted.
